Our mission is to empower VCP students with the academic and social-emotional skills to thrive in college or a career,
but our commitment to this mission doesn’t end when we award our graduates their VCP diplomas.
We are here to support our students through their college transitions!
The VCP College Transitions team extends ongoing counseling support to VCP alumni during their early years of college or a professional training program. This work drives our goals for each VCP graduating class of an 70% college matriculation rate and 50% retention rate from students’ freshman to sophomore years.
Program supports include monthly group meetings, one-to-one coaching sessions, and on-site campus visits (for Central Indiana university students). Our College Transitions team successfully supplements university-provided counseling services by providing VCP alumni with a familiar face and trusted voice of support as they adapt to their unique post-secondary experiences.
THE TORCH TIMES NEWSLETTER
Our VCP community can stay in touch with our alumni through our monthly publication that offers updates on how our graduates continue to #CarryTheTorch in the next chapters of their lives.
