VCP After-School Programs are offered on select Tuesdays and Thursdays during the academic year
to support learning and development outside the traditional classroom setting.

VCP After School Programs are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 13 through April 30 with the exceptions of November 20, January 5, 10, 12, March 9, and April 4.

Registration for VCP After School Programs is a commitment for the entire academic year. VCP reserves the right to change program offerings or cancel programs at its discretion at any time during the school year.

Student registration is first come first served, and limited seats are available for all programs. When registrations exceed available spots students will be waitlisted for future potential participation.

Additional After-School Information

WALKERS
Age-appropriate students who live in the surrounding VCP neighborhood are permitted to walk home following program dismissal at 5:00 p.m.

CAR RIDERS
Parents, guardians, or approved family members may pick up car-rider students at the front office door. Students will have until 5:15 p.m. to be picked up. Any student who is not picked up after that time will receive a phone call home. After the second time that students are not picked up by 5:15 p.m., they will be removed from the after-school programming roster.

BUS RIDERS
VCP provides buses with limited satellite stops throughout the city for after-school programming. For student safety, we ask that students who do not live within half of a mile of an available bus stop not ride the bus home.

SIBLINGS
Older or younger siblings of VCP After School Programs participants that are not themselves registered in an After School Program ARE NOT allowed to remain after regular school dismissal time because appropriate supervision is not available. Any student not registered for After School Programs MUST leave the VCP campus using their preferred transportation method at regular school dismissal time.

UNIFORM
Students are expected to remain in their school uniform during their After School Program unless their club specifies otherwise.

CELL PHONES
Age-appropriate students are permitted to contact and communicate with parents during after-school programs; however, school-wide expectations for technology usage still apply.

BEHAVIOR
Student expectations for after-school are the same as the normal school day. Students who cause, or are involved in, a behavioral issue will receive a phone call home, a formal referral of the incident, and will not be permitted to participate in future after-school dates for a minimum of one week. Further issues may result in a ban from after-school programs.

In Grades 7 thru 12, students who receive a referral during the regular school day are not permitted to stay after school on the day the referral was received but may return once they have completed their reflection and consequence given by our Student Support Team.

FOOD
Snacks are provided by VCP; however, students may bring a snack to enjoy after-school. Students are not permitted to order food to be delivered to the building.
