VCP HIGH SCHOOL EARNS ‘EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL’ ENDORSEMENT
Recognition Ends Multi-Year Assessment By Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL)

The University of Indianapolis Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) has placed VCP High School on the short list of schools across Indiana that are uniquely and more effectively helping students get a head start on college and careers.

The CELL endorsement affirms that VCP High School allows students to graduate with more than a high school diploma by allowing access to earn the Indiana College Core, an associate degree, a technical credential, or significant dual credit while still in high school. CELL, in its announcement of the VCP recognition, says these opportunities can save families thousands of dollars and accelerate students’ path to college and careers.

“From our College Bound Cash Program to offering more than a dozen dual-credit or dual-enrollment courses for our students, our VCP School Network and VCP High School team are deeply committed to expanding meaningful opportunities for our students,” says Rahul Jyoti, VCP Chief Readiness Officer.

In defining its “Early College High School” endorsement, CELL says its assessments identify schools that intentionally blend high school and college experiences to build a strong college-going culture while providing the academic and personal supports students need to succeed.

VCP is now one of the fewer than 75 Indiana schools to be named an Early College High School. For more information about Early College High Schools and a list of endorsed schools, visit cell.uindy.edu/earlycollege.
