At Victory College Prep we empower K-12 students
with the academic and social-emotional skills to thrive in college or a career!

An important part of preparing students for college is helping them understand
the many options available and creating excitement about what’s possible for each student
based on their unique abilities and experiences.

College Go! Week in VCP middle and high school is a celebration of all things college
and a key initiative in helping our students become college-ready.

During College Go! Week, students are participating in various college-focused activities and expressing their excitement about attending college with a different spirit dress theme every day of the week.

The week includes:

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
A What Is series during afternoon announcements will address common misunderstandings or clarify important details about attending college. For example, “What is tuition, and what parts of the college experience does it cover.”

COLLEGE VIRTUAL TOURS AND IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS
Daily, students will virtually tour a different historically black college or university to explore the important legacies of these institutions and learn about the application process at the institution of their choice. Local universities, like IUPUI, will make in-person presentations on the VCP campus.

COLLEGE 101 COURSES
College Go! Week culminates in a grade-level appropriate specialty course that provides detailed insight into an area of the college selection and matriculation process. College 101 Courses include What is College and Why Should I Go (Grades 7-8), Indiana Colleges You’ve Never Heard Of (Grades 9-10), Practice College Application and FASFA Form (Grades 11-12).
