Victory College Prep is proud of the rich diversity present in its school community!
We are committed to promoting equity and practicing inclusion for people of all demographic backgrounds.
This commitment is why we proudly celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month in our classrooms.
During Hispanic Heritage Month at VCP, homeroom and advisory classes share and study Hispanic culture.
Every week follows the same flow for daily heritage month lessons:
Monday – focus on an influential Hispanic person
Tuesday – focus on a Spanish speaking country
Wednesday – sharing a Hispanic snack while discussing cultural fun facts
Thursday – exploring cultural music and dance
Friday – artwork to create a Spanish speaking country flag
The month-long celebration culminates with Hispanic Heritage Family Night on October 7 when our community comes together to celebrate Hispanic culture with food, games, dancing, and more.
Kindergarten students taste test Takis, a snack favorite in Mexico, during Hispanic Heritage Month at VCP!
