Whole School Celebration Day
February 17

During Black History Month at VCP, all grade levels will learn about Black culture through daily activities. 
2025 Black History Month activities include:
  • a poster creation contest designed by homeroom and advisory classes; 
  • daily in-class presentations on Black change-makers and influencers in the arts, sports, media, music, and more; 
  • a whole school Community Day on February 17 with activities across grade levels, such as an exploration of Black influence in music or a creating works of protest art. 
Black History Month quilt projects will be displayed throughout our school building during the month, and students will have the opportunity to study and learn from the quilts created by their peers.
