VICTORY COLLEGE PREP 1 OF JUST 5 SCHOOLS AWARDED MILLION-DOLLAR GRANT

Support from Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation will sustain 4 years of college matriculation growth

A four-year proposal from Victory College Prep to increase college enrollment rates for its high school graduates has earned new support from the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation’s College Matters initiative with a grant of $1.5 million, an award that follows prior grants to VCP of $150,000 and $20,000 announced during the 2023-2024 academic year.

VCP’s newly funded plan will create six new strategic programs through the 2027-2028 academic year that will improve students’ college readiness through enhanced academic rigor and expand college enrollment through new coaching and wrap-around services that support both students and their families. Funds will also support creating a long-term sustainability plan for the new VCP programs being launched.
