On September 14, 2023, Victory College Prep unveiled a brand new weight room, the culmination of a makeover funded through the generosity of Elevance Health and Impact Fitness Foundation with support from the Indiana Fever.
More than 50 volunteers from the supporting organizations created this new space in one day, putting together exercise and weight equipment in the new weight room and fitness space. Volunteers also spent time refreshing our VCP community garden!
The volunteer efforts will be featured during coverage of the Elevance Health NCAA Women’s Basketball Fort Myers Tipoff tournament.

“Whether it’s in the classroom or on the field, we want our VCP students to see women in leadership, women with equitable access, and the potential of a future full of opportunities regardless of background,” Nelson says. “I’m proud of our school network’s commitment to this, and the support of Elevance Health and Impact Fitness Foundation in this work is deeply appreciated. This new weight room and fitness center will help elevate our student-atheletes’ confidence for the game, in the classroom, and at home.”
